Intelligent Robot

Intelligent Robots are human-oriented robots that provide various types of services such as housework support, education, and entertainment while interacting with humans based on IT technology such as artificial intelligence. It refers to a robot that recognizes the external environment (Perception), determines the situation by itself (Cognition), and operates autonomously (Manipulation). What sets it apart from existing robots is the addition of a situation judgment function and autonomous operation function.

Unlike industrial robots that mainly perform simple repetitive tasks, an intelligent robot is a Fusion System that integrates IT technologies such as artificial intelligence, human interface, and ubiquitous network. Various policies have been established for industrial development.

The size of the global home robot market is expected to grow from $2 billion in 2017 (about KRW 2.38 trillion) to $9.7 billion (about KRW 11.56 trillion) this year.
